Mid-Wales
The Home of The Marches Business Group
We are lucky enough to have a HQ located on the outskirts of the picturesque Spa town of Llandrindod Wells, in the heart of the beautiful Mid-Wales countryside.
To live, and work here is a real privilege.
Powys is the largest Welsh county, with the smallest population; meaning an abundance of green space, clean air and breath-taking scenery for everyone to enjoy; a tourist hot spot where you’ll never run out of things to see or do!
Drop a pin in the middle of Wales and that’s exactly where we are, perfectly placed and within two hours of a number of major cities and other must visit places including Snowdonia National Park, Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff, Brecon Beacons National Park and The Cotswolds.
On our doorstep…
Rhayader & The Elan Valley
If you prefer something a little more fast paced – the area has a huge Motor X community, hosting regular events at a number of local tracks which bring tourists to Powys from far and wide! There is also a huge network of green lanes to explore locally, and even a rally school!
We are a community of sporting enthusiasts, so whether you’re a player, or prefer to spectate there are a multitude of sports leagues of all types, open to all ages and capabilities to get involved with, including football, rugby, darts and hockey.
There are also a huge selection of events that happen in the area throughout the year – Including the famous Royal Welsh Show; the biggest event on the British agricultural calendar! The main event, which takes place every July, is preceded by a number of local carnivals and festivities in all of the surrounding towns and villages during the month leading up to the show. The showground also hosts a variety of other events including Smallholding Festivals, Continuity Antique Fairs, The Winter Festival and many more…
One of Mid-Wales’ most loved spots for outdoor enthusiasts!
Soak in the breath taking scenery around the historic Elan Valley dams and surrounding areas, while exploring the labyrinth or trails, tracks and pathways suitable for walkers, hikers and bikers alike. The area is family, and dog friendly, with a number of other outdoor activities available to enjoy locally including wild swimming, fishing, kayaking, clay pigeon shooting, climbing and more!
